I could pick out a gazillion things out about this picture that aren’t perfect:
• Starting with the lighting.
• Sutton’s bow is crooked.
• Gabe needs a haircut.
• My nails are chipped.
• There’s a line coming out of Daniel’s head.
• What a weird background!!!
And the list goes on…
BUT
I don’t have to be perfect. And neither does my family. Because Jesus died on the cross for the imperfect:
• For the ones who live in the darkness.
• For the ones who walk down crooked paths.
• For the ones who can’t see beyond their own mistakes.
• For the ones who are constantly chipping away at others.
• For the ones who never can get their feet just right.
• For the ones who lose focus of what’s truly important.
• For the ones who just don’t feel right no matter where they are.
And the list goes on…
On this Easter Sunday, I’m reminded of how grateful I am that He died on the cross, and just three days later, the tomb was empty!! He conquered death. He chose to erase our imperfect mess with His perfect love…if that isn’t worth celebrating, I’m not sure what is! ![]()
