Discharged and driving home. ![]()

Two and a half months ago, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. I love my doctor in El Dorado. He was proactive in helping me get answers, but my surgical options were limited. I got a second opinion in LR at the clinic where I went when I was pregnant with my babies. Same answers; slightly different surgical approach.
After some research, I found a clinic and doctor in Springdale that deals with a lot of endo cases. Mom and I drove up before Easter to see him. His approach was different, and after lots of discussion and many prayers, I opted for a partial hysterectomy. We scheduled it for yesterday. Everything went well, and after an overnight stay, we were able to head home.
Thank you to Mimi for holding down the fort at home. She’s managed all three kids this week, and I’m so thankful to have her. ![]()
Best caregiver award goes to this guy right here. For the last 48 hours, from my pre-op appt on Tuesday to our 5-hour drive home, he’s been so helpful, compassionate, and understanding. Keeping me stocked with fresh ice chips, held my hand when the pain was at its worst, lifted me out of bed, put me back in bed, and even found me chocolate pudding to eat for dinner when I couldn’t eat what I originally ordered. And so much more. He promised in sickness and in health…he’s totally got the “in sickness” thing down.
